Student Ministry

In 2011 we decided to introduce a Leadership Ministry system to enable ALL Year 6 students to take on a leadership role and to experience this in a variety of areas. We identified 4 main areas that the students could be involved in – Christian Ministry; Sport; Communication and Environment. Students are appointed to a new group each term. Each group develops a list including the duties and participates in chairing meetings. Learning about meeting procedures is another bonus of the system. This is an important way for Year 6 to support their school and for all students to get to know their school leaders.

Our Library

Every class has a specific library day. On these days they will need to bring their library bag, without which they will not be able to borrow books. It is important that we encourage our children to take care of the books, as they are expensive to replace. Many families and students have over the years donated books to our library. These have special labels on the inside cover. It is often interesting to read who gave us a book and why.

School Prayer

Loving God

Be with us always and guide us to live as followers of Christ.

Help us to show a kind heart and a helping hand to those in need.

Unite our school community in faith, compassion, truth and service as we live our Mercy values.

St Michael,
Pray for us.

Live Jesus in our heart, Forever.
